This adapter does not fit in older cameras. Modern digital cameras and flash cards allow rewriting photo and video files many times and sometimes important files deleted or lost by mistake. The camera was mangled but the xD card (and battery) are still usuable in my Stylus 800. Further, one of my C410s fell about 300ft into a parking lot (oh the joys of KAP). Undelete xd-picture card guarantees safety of your photos and videos. I have pretty much always used a Lexar card reader to take the pictures off and pretty much always deleted the pictures using the card reader.
